gunmetal colored (coated steel) boot lace hooks.  These have a post like a tubular rivet for setting.  The manufacturer recommends a die and press for these .  I imagine you could set them using a tubular rivet setter. Buy as many as you like and save on shipping.
There is a setting tool made to set these hooks.  They are difficult to set without it.  I can get this tool special order for 5 if you want one.  The tool set is made to be used in a press or by hand. Some customers have told me they have rigged a tubular rivet setter to do the trick.
These are used in combination with lace to make speedy closures on boots, camp equipment or whatever else your heart desires.
