Disney pins
are fun to collect and have been part of a movement and industry that rivals any hobby out there. Pin trading expos and events draw thousands of people from around the world. Pick your favorite Disney character, and there is probably a pin for them. There are also pins for events, rides and attractions, movies, and more.
The original Carthay Circle Theater and restaurant was one of the most famous movie palaces of Hollywood's Golden Age. It opened in 1926 and closed down in 1969. It held the premiere for Walt Disney's first animated feature, Snow White, in 1937. They even installed a special sound system for Disney's Fantasia in 1940. It is no wonder why this theater is featured at the top of Disney's California Adventure Park. There is a smaller scale tower at Walt Disney World in Florida.
This smaller scale replica is not a working theater. Instead, the first and second floors house a lounge, restaurant, and special club. Catch the excitement of the Disney California Adventure® Park landmark with this Annual Passholder limited edition pin featuring Minnie Mouse dressed as a 1920's bicycle messenger in a blue and white uniform with red fingerless gloves and bag. The pin shows Minnie in front of the Carthay Circle Theatre at Disney California Adventure® Park on Buena Vista Street. This pin features pin-on-pin, 2D sculpting, and hard enamel embellishments.
The pin back has one post on a gold Mickey icon waffle pattern that runs off the edges. Below the post are five boxes. The first has the number T794-2679-3-14051. Below left is the 2014 ODPT logo, and to its right is the DLR Annual Passholder Commemorative Collection key logo. Below that it has "Limited Edition of 2500," and at the bottom it has "©DISNEY CHINA." This is pin number two of a four pin series (I am listing Goofy's version as well - find his pin by clicking on Disney or Pins & Buttons link to your left), and is mounted on a special blue and gold DCA Annual Passholder key Limited Edition backer card, which is included in this listing. Passholder I.D. had to be presented at time of purchase. Limits and restrictions applied, making this harder to purchase than normal pins
