    Description

Vintage 1912 Pre Pro H. Weinhard's Rheingold Beer Portland BPOE Flask. It is a BPOE flask or nip shaped like an Elks tooth, and appears to be porcelain or a ceramic type of material. It says Portland 1912 along with BPOE on one side and includes a picture of an elk and a clock. On the other side is The Lotus, 127 Sixth Street, M. Nelson, Prop., and H. Weinhard's Rheingold Beer on Draught. The significance of the clock's hands pointing to 11 o'clock is that every night at 11 p.m. Elk members honor all other missing members, living or dead.  The flask measures 4 1/2" by 2 1/2", and is about 1 5/8" deep. No chips, cracks or hairlines.
